About This Project
caiodemelo.org is an independent project dedicated to curating and presenting global statistics. The goal is to provide data that is transparent, "Ultra-Clean", and 100% verifiable.
The Challenge: "Black Box" Data
Public data is often buried in academic databases or presented on "black box" platforms. These platforms frequently prioritize volume over clarity, resulting in cluttered interfaces, "dark patterns", and — most critically — a lack of clear, direct links to the primary sources.
This ambiguity makes verification impossible and creates systemic distrust.
Guiding Principles
This platform is built on the same non-negotiable principles defined in the Methodology:
Full Transparency
The process, sources, and calculations are open. Every statistic is traced back to its "reference real" (the primary source).
Ultra-Clean Design
The design philosophy is minimalist. The interface must enhance transparency; components are used for clarity, not decoration.
Factual Authority
This platform operates with a factual, objective voice. The data is presented, but its interpretation is left to the user.
About the Founder
This project is founded and maintained by Caio de Melo.
As a Computer Scientist with a master's degree in Context-Aware Systems, Caio started this platform as a direct solution to the frustration of "black box" data aggregation. He serves as the primary architect and data curator, ensuring every statistic and component adheres to the platform's core principles.
The Future: From Platform to API
This public-facing platform demonstrates a methodology of radical transparency and data curation. It serves as the foundation for the project's long-term vision.
The architecture built for this site is designed to evolve into a high-performance, developer-first API. This allows other projects, developers, and organizations to access this same curated, verifiable data for their own applications.
